Thousands and thousands of kids participate in youth sports every year. High Impact Mentoring includes eight (8) to twelve (12) one-on-one weekly sessions designed to equip the athlete with a detailed understanding of the life skills necessary to manage the social, relational, and emotional dynamics present in youth sports. Through XL Athlete High Impact mentoring the individual becomes knowledgeable about how to take charge of their own experience and is given the tools to do so in a personalized fashion. As a result, the athletic experience becomes more enjoyable and the athlete is able to excel and develop in a manner that ignites development in multiple environments which include school, family, and peer group.
Symptoms that Reveal a Good Candidate For Mentoring: 1. Self-generated frustration that appears pervasive. 2. An overall fear of failure revealed in tentative performance. 3. An overall lack of energy and motivation. 4. A concern for a lack of self-confidence and self-esteem. 5. Impulsiveness that appears self-sabotaging. 6. A lack of sustained focus. 7. Diminishing desire for things that were once enjoyed. 8. An athlete that wants an "Edge" mentally during competitive situations. 9.
