This program is designed to develop speed in youth athletes between the ages of 8 to 12 years. The program incorporates all aspects of acceleration and linear speed development while utilizing effective running mechanics. The athlete will download the an app for adroid or apple device for the training period, including exercises that are linked to video demonstrations for a maximal training effect. The athlete or coach will need some minimal equipment for this program: speed ladders, cones, and resistance bands, which can be purchased at link below for a discounted price for the entire package. The XL Athlete Youth Online Hockey Summer Strength and Conditioning Camp is designed to provide 8-10 year old hockey players with PERSONALIZED summer training and conditioning programs. This program is designed for athletes that are new to training and is tailored to build foundations in resistance training, full-range mobility, and agility development.

Each athlete or parent will receive three emailed programs each week. The program will contain strength training, speed and agility development, and stretching routines.

Training will be provided three days a week for a total of 12 weeks over the summer, beginning on the Monday of your choice.

The programs are very detailed, yet simple to use. Each exercise is linked to the XL Athlete website, which contains demonstration videos. The athletes will also receive an in-season training program, which will allow them to maintain the gains they made from the summer throughout the competitive season
